Research that makes real life impact
Want to work with us? Alongside the research we do directly with young people and professionals we work with others through consultancy and events. To find out more get in touch via the contact us page.
Speaking events
Would you like a member of our team to speak at your event? While our research is always our priority, we offer keynotes, presentations, and workshops at a range of online and in-person academic and practice conferences and events when and where we can.
Please note:
- We receive a large number of requests for engagements, so we do ask that you provide at least six months' notice for an event.
- Unfortunately, we are not funded for these appointments - as such, a fee is usually charged and we will provide a quote on application.
- Please give as much information as you can; this will likely speed up your application.
To request a speaker from the Contextual Safeguarding team at your event, please complete this form - we look forward to hearing from you.
Training
We work with two training providers who deliver training on our behalf. To find out more, email contextual.safeguarding@durham.ac.uk.
Consultancy
We can work with you on small bespoke consultancy projects. Get in touch to find out more about:
- Policy - We can review policies and update policies in line with work on Contextual safeguarding, extra-familial harm, inequalities and education.
- School assessments - We can run assessments in schools to help you to learn more about peer-to-peer harm and support plans to make changes.
- Social care - we can support you through meeting observations, policy reviews and system review methods to help create contextual Safeguarding system change.
